I believe in a holistic approach and the importance of looking at the whole person when understanding what an individual is going through, how they experience challenges, and how to manage moving forward. My goal is to create a safe, judgment free space where an adult or teen can feel comfortable expressing themselves. I am passionate about helping others build emotional resilience through developing increased self-awareness, enhanced problem solving, and coping skills.
My initial career path began in the child welfare system, where I provided case management services to reunite families or pursue adoption and permanency for foster children. I am also licensed as a school social worker and have a comprehensive understanding of the educational system and support available to children.
The therapeutic approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices.
