Welcome! Taking the step to see a therapist can be brave, thrilling, or even a bit nerve-wracking but I’m glad to have the opportunity to see you through it all. I know that life comes with many turns and sometimes it’s not everything we imagined so my goal is to provide you with a space each week where you can be yourself and find healing, solutions, and a renewed sense of purpose. I use a variety of evidence based practices/modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy to guide my practice. What’s most important for you to know is that I prioritize a safe space that is free of judgement so you can best navigate how to heal.
I’m a former high school counselor and much of my work in that field focused on depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA+ populations, school-based issues, and trauma. I have my Bachelors in Psychology from North Central College, and my Masters in School Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. Outside of work I enjoy gardening, swimming, and going to White Sox games.
