Hello! My name is Brittany Mangin and my goal in therapy is to provide a safe, supportive, healing environment to foster growth in clients and their families. I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and am now a Licensed Professional Counselor, primarily working with children and adolescents.
My therapeutic approach is Person-Centered which means being present in the current moment while building a healthy therapeutic relationship and helping the client learn coping skills to encourage independence. Depending on the client’s needs, I utilize an integrative approach that may include play therapy, Strength based, or Mindfulness. I have gained experience in a variety of settings like community-based, schools, and residential which has helped me become well-versed in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and helping clients work through trauma.
I have professional experience working with a wide range of presenting issues, such as anxiety, depression, grief, behavioral and emotional dysregulation, and trauma. I look forward to supporting and working collaboratively with children/adolescents and their families to successfully reach their goals through therapy.
