Facilitator: Julie McDevitt, LCPC
My name is Julie McDevitt and I want to help women discovery the journey I found 22 years ago. When I was 21 years old I was suffering from active alcoholism and drug addiction. Walking into the rooms of alcoholics anonymous set me on a journey of self exploration, healing, and abstinence from substance abuse for the next 22 years. Within that time, I have married, had four kids, finished my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and founded a counseling practice that has six locations and employs 85 people. More importantly, I have strived to develop a relationship wtih God that is personal, relational and is the cornerstone of healing.
What I want to share with you what I have learned from psychology, 12-steps and Christianity in my 22 years of sobriety. Whether your obstacle is addictions, anger, codependency, depression, people pleasing, food- we will target your biggest barriers to living your best life and free you of the burdens keeping you stuck in beahviors that no longer serve you. Using a Christian-focused model for healing, you will identify the negative core belief keeping you stuck, use practical exercises to unburden yourself and remove any obstacle between you and healing power of God’s love. I want to pour into your life some of the amazing gifts I have received from many sources in my own journey. Together, we will set your heart on fire for life, reveal your purpose and give you the support to know you are meant for great things. I’m ready to see your life change, are you?
