As a passionate and experienced LCPC, National Board Certified Counselor, and Nationally Certified School Counselor, I am deeply committed to providing comprehensive mental health and social-emotional support to children and adolescents. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing environment where clients can thrive emotionally and develop the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges. With advanced certifications and specialized training, I am well-equipped to address a wide range of needs, including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and conflict resolution.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Child-Centered Play Therapy. As an anxiety specialist, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand and challenge negative thoughts or behaviors contributing to anxiety, stress, or fear. Additionally, I believe in a solution-focused approach, helping clients build on their strengths and guiding them toward achieving the goals that matter most to them. Together, we will focus on building coping skills and developing new ways to approach difficult situations, empowering clients to face challenges with confidence.
Additionally, I bring extensive experience within the educational system, having worked as a teacher, administrator, and school counselor. This diverse background provides me with a deep understanding of how to effectively support children and adolescents in a school setting, while collaborating with community stakeholders to ensure that every client has access to the resources and support they need. I highly value collaboration, mentorship, and community engagement as essential components in fostering sustainable, positive change in the lives of the children and adolescents I serve.
