Hello! My name is Ava Hammer, and I am a graduate-level intern at Grace Integrated. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

I have experience working with both children and adults, including individuals navigating eating disorders. In this work, I have supported clients facing a range of co-occurring concerns, such as anxiety, OCD, depression, and trauma-related challenges. I am especially interested in working with adolescents and young adults as they navigate identity, relationships, and emotional well-being.

I take a collaborative, person-centered approach to therapy and often incorporate cognitive-behavioral techniques to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences. I strive to help individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered as they work toward meaningful growth and healing.
