Education: Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling, National Louis University; Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, National Louis University.
Client Base: Ms. Difatta enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She has worked in both public and therapeutic schools, providing services to individuals, families, and facilitating groups. Her experience and interests include crisis work, mental health education, and helping youth navigate through anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, ADHD, trauma, and adjusting to life as they grow.
Therapeutic approach: Ms. Difatta utilizes evidenced-based therapeutic techniques, customized to the client. This includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and also encourages mindfulness. Ms. Difatta enjoys partnering with the client and family, using a systems approach to ensure we work with the clients’ whole environment. Ms. Difatta creates a non-judgmental and compassionate environment to promote healing, growth, and wellness.
