Addiction Information:
Recovering from the infidelity of a loved one’s Love and Sex Addiction is difficult. Group therapy has shown to reduce the symptoms of PTSD through normalizing the disruptive symptoms that result from discovering your partner has a pornography and/or sex addiction. Join facilitator Cat Sanders, CSAT – C and other female group members who share in their struggle and challenges so they can rebuild their self-esteem and independence post discovery of a loved one’s addiction.
Signs of Addiction
- Shows changes in behavior, mood, or sleep
- Isolates him- or herself from family or friends
- Shows declining academic or work performance
- Becomes angry or irritable when asked to stop
- Continues the behavior despite attempts to stop or despite being punished for it
- Shows changes in eating habits
- Caught lying, or stealing
Task Model
The Task Model follows the 12 steps, popularized by Alcoholics Anonymous, and now utilized by dozens of groups dedicated to overcoming addicted behaviors. Our group will utilize tasks that follow the 12 steps and principals of recovery.
The task approach provides a road map of recovery tasks, performable exercises and life competencies for teens to work through as they establish freedom from addictive behaviors and replace those behaviors with health and wellness.
