I am entering the field of counseling after a full career as a yoga and Pilates teacher and more recently a yoga therapist. I teach therapeutic yoga to children and adults one-on-one and in groups. I fully understand the power of the mind-body connection for emotional health and healing. The manifestation of depression, anxiety, or PTSD symptoms are often felt in the body, and yoga offers many therapeutic tools to help restore balance and harmony. As a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher, I have worked with children with a variety of special needs. I believe that yoga can have a positive effect on children’s academic achievement, general health, personal attributes and relationships.
As I enter into the final stretch of my graduate training program, I am honored to serve the Grace Integrated Counseling community as a Graduate Level Clinician. I currently attend National Louis University in Lisle, IL. where I am working towards earning a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I am excited to combine traditional psychotherapy with movement therapy to help my clients achieve balance, find joy and thrive. My goal is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore, grow, heal, and learn new strategies to tackle challenges and improve their quality of life.
