Clinical Supervisor
It is common for human beings who experience trauma and life stressors to feel like their lives are unraveling. My passion is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience and also improve their lives. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults of all ages.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her clinical training at the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration. I am fluent in English, Portuguese, and proficient in Spanish.
As a client-centered and trauma-informed therapist, I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative space and a vehicle for change. I aim to help clients develop a more integrated and grounded sense of self which cultivates increased awareness, self-compassion, and personal growth.
My clinical work focuses on the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, transitions into parenting and other caregiving roles. I utilize an eclectic approach with a focus on the holistic framework, mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques, different behavior lens, EMDR for trauma, sensorimotor psychotherapy and Gottman for couples. I like to adapt my practice to the goals of my clients, always searching for dynamic ways to create a safe therapeutic space. I am looking forward to working with you and to learn about your values and the goals you are looking to accomplish in therapy.
