Hello, my name is Casey Barr and I am a clinician who is passionate about helping individuals build stronger relationships and to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges that they are facing. When you are experiencing an overwhelming difficulty in life, having someone hold a safe space for these burdens can make a world of difference- life’s challenges are not meant to be faced alone!
As a client-centered therapist, our relationship is the most essential part of therapy, and I will do everything to ensure that you are provided with a warm, non-judgmental, and safe space to begin this journey. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago. Fluent English & Spanish.
I work with families, individuals and children. Toddlers/ Preschoolers (0 to 6), Children (6 to 10), Preteens / Tweens (11 to 13), Teens and Adults. My professional experience includes nine years of working with families and children ages birth to age five in Head Start and Early Intervention. I have clinical experience providing psychoanalytic therapy, as well as child-parent psychotherapy, working from an attachment model with a developmental approach. I work with families or individuals who are experiencing: grief and loss, family conflict, behavioral challenges, developmental delays, autism, depression, anxiety, and pregnancy or postpartum depression.
