It’s ok not to feel ok.
I like to view therapy as an investment towards your present and future self. My goal is to guide you through life’s challenges at a pace you feel comfortable with. I value building a strong therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, communication, respect, and understanding. I use a strengths-based perspective to empower the utilization of self-determination and promote autonomy. I firmly believe that you are the expert of your own life, and trauma impacts everyone differently. I will work alongside you to create an individualized treatment plan that will allow you to build upon your resiliency.
I earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa and am a licensed social worker in the state of Illinois.
I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults affected by anxiety, depression, grief, and loss, as well as life transitions among other challenges. I use a combination of psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and mindfulness approaches to therapy.
I’ve been described as having a gentle, calm demeanor that makes others feel at ease. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, hiking, yoga, and spending time with my dog.
I am in the office Tuesday-Friday and Saturday. I look forward to learning more about your story.
