Biography
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ball State University. My approach to therapy can be described with a quote from a mentor of mine. “If I can make a difference in one chapter of someone’s life story and help it have a better ending then that makes this career worthwhile.” I truly believe that if I can provide early therapeutic intervention with children and their families it makes a world of difference.
I utilize a person-centered approach while remaining multiculturally aware. I like to focus on the strengths of my clients and utilize that to aid in their recovery journey. I also think it is so important to be aware of my clients’ background as this shapes not only who they are as a person but also what their recovery journey may look like as well. I hope to be able to help my clients find their identity and be able to express that with the world around them. I have professional experience with LGBTQIA+ populations relating to identity issues.
I have professional experience with various mental illnesses but focus on mood, anxiety, and trauma related disorders. I also have professional experience with various eating disorders. I have worked with children and families in outpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization settings which have really contributed to my growth as a therapist. I am looking forward to my journey with Grace Integrated and helping children and families overcome challenges and achieve their goals!
